About Industry

Let's share the best

Over the years, the food processing industries of India emerged purely based on the potential in the ‘Farm to shelf’ economy & vast expanding market for domestic & export food products. Due to the large population base, our country offers a large demand – driven market and the retail sector is expected to grow three-fold by the year 2020. The first advancement in food processing industry was the invention and adoption of the basic Wheat mills. The 21st century has dawned the opportunity for conventional food industries to scale to variable proportions, as the need & demand of consumers with respect to food products have increased exponentially.

Challenges

Changes in innovative & technological.

Food Processing Industries continuously face new challenges. As the cities are fast expanding changes in innovative & technological trends, the severe logistic challenges in addition to changes in Government Policies, Competition & Infrastructure issues pave way for a challenging environment towards growth.

Government of India is in the process of establishing Food Parks, inviting the Food based Industries in India to set up food processing units, food packing units & food products export oriented units hence providing a major boost to this sector.
